Coding sequence diagrams

Hi

I am trying to figure out whether it is possible to code sequence diagrams, and possibly other diagram types too.

There is some indication that Markdown support might enable this, but I have tested with a quick sequence diagram, and it is not obvious that it does what I am looking for.

The macOS Sequence Diagram app: https://apps.apple.com/es/app/sequence-diagram/id1195426709?l=en&mt=12 does do what I want.

Any ideas please?
