how can I extend element's attributes and edit in the property editor

hello,

I want to extend some of the elements ( like class) 's attributes. For example, "class" element has a "name" attribute, and I want "class" element to have a "name2" attribute. and I want this attribute to be shown and editable in the property editor, using Open Api. And when I save or export the model , this new attribute should be exported or saved.

Hello Xiaopeng,

It is allowed to define a new meta-model by extending (inheritance) existing elements (Defining new a meta-model is so complicated and not yet documented well). However, it’s not possible to add new properties to the existing elements so as to edit them in Property Editor.

Instead, we recommend to use “Tag” if you need just additional properties. (Mouse Right Click on the element, Add > Tag)
