I can't create a communication diagram

hello!

I've already read all the questions about communication diagram and I know that in this new version I can't convert a sequence diagram to a communication diagram , well so I try to create it and I still can't do it!!!  I try to connect 2 lifelines with connector and self connector but it says  "Connector can not be placed here".  

I use the 2.1.4 version for windows.

Please check your Communications Diagram is placed as a child of an  "Interaction" which is a child of an "Collaboration". When you create a Communications Diagram, typically an Interaction and a Collaboration are created automatically. Try to create a Communication Diagram again.
