Hi

To the best of my knowledge, many UML items do not necessarily have to be named; for example, often one just refers to the type of an object (or a role), like ": MyClass".

How can I use this style properly in StarUML? The only way I figured is to set the "name" property to blank, but then the validity check will send me countless errors. Is there an option like "suppress name" that I didn't spot?

Thank you and best regards, Gregor.

Hi Gregor,

Yes, I agree that the name rule is too strict, so we will consider to add more exceptions (roles, instances, ...).

Thanks,
