Associations and includes keep disappearing visually within a use case diagram

Hi there,

I am a new user to StarUML2, so I haven't tried all functionalities to every extent but from time to time when I open a use case diagram or switch to another diagram, the drawn associations and includes disappear visually. The associations and includes are still defined but have visually disappeared. Zooming in and out does not seem to resolve anything, so I would love to see this fixed.

Working file

I'm actually using another file containing a whole bunch of diagrams but I can easily reproduce this issue with basic data within the provided working file. Please see the attachment. The association and includes will redraw again whenever you remove the object (such as the actor or use case) and drag it in again via the explorer... but they tend to disappear from time to time.

I noticed this within my actual working file after rendering it to HTML and that my diagrams were suddenly missing it's associations and includes.

OS and version
Microsoft Windows 8.1, version 6.3.9600 built 9600

StarUML version
Version 2.1.3
Although I also encountered this issue with version 2.1.2. I hoped the hotfix to 2.1.3 might have resolved my issue as well (unfortunately not)

I'm not sure if I can export the errors, but I've got 5 errors regarding "Cannot read property 'model' of undefined" in validation/Validator.js:64

We really thank you for the your reporting this problem and reproducible steps. Actually this problem was that we wanted to find why and how to reproduce.

Finally, we have just released v2.1.4 hotfix for this problem. Please update to this release and create the relationships by drag and drop from Explorer again. Then, the same problem will not be repeated.

Hi there,

I haven't found the opportunity to reply sooner myself, but your reply and solution is amazingly fast. However, your website does not seem available at the moment in order for me (or other) to download the latest version and continue using your product. It shows a blank screen and throws a "HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable: Back-end server is at capacity" header. Are you aware of this issue?

Hi,

I think the issue I'm having is related to this one.

I've created an association class between two classes. I wanted to create a new diagram to show this specific package but the association class is not linked any more to the two others. Is that a bug ? What can I do to fix my diagram ?

StarUML 2.5.0

Mac 10.10.5

Action to reproduce :

- create 2 classes

- Add an association class that connect both created classes.

- remove the 3 classes from your diagram

- add those 3 classes to your diagram again.

Result : The association class is missing is association.

Hello Fabien,

Thank you for reporting a problem. The classes and associations has no problem but there is no way to create views only of association classes. We've just post on our issue tracking system as a bug. It will be fixed in the next release.

Now Fixed in v2.6.0. Drag a "Association Class" (not AssociationClassLink) from Model Explorer and drop on Diagram Area.

I recently faced a similar problem in verstion 3.0.2.  I just create a new diagram and copied the last one and pasted it into the new one. try doing the same this worked for me.

• Error Dump (Select Debug -> Show DevTools and Copy the error messages in Console Tab)
• Capture screenshot or video (if UI errors)

Bug/problem description: the association lines between most of the classes became transparent the label and the multiplicity is still there.
