StarUML 2.4 crashed!

I downloaded the latest version of StarUML (2.4) on my Windows 8 machine. I created a class diagram, then a sequence diagram (attached). Simply switching from the class diagram to the sequence diagram caused the StarUML window to turn white and stop responding. I had to use the task manager to kill it. I tried it a second time with the same result. After I uninstalled 2.4 and re-installed 2.3, everything was fine.

Are you using High-DPI Display?

If so, please try again with an update installer for Windows: starumlreleases-7a0.kxcdn.com/v2.4.0/StarUML-v2.4.0.msi

(Max size of canvas is reduced to avoid memory problem of CEF in Windows.)

I was using a projector, as this happened during a lecture. Do I need to adjust the resolution on the projector?

I think the resolution of the project doesn't matter. We couldn't find the exact reason of the crash you experienced. (Currently, no crashes in our Windows machines)

 It is helpful if you can share the result after re-downloading and re-installing from the above link.

2.5 and 2.4 both exhibit the white screen symptoms above for me.  I am on Windows 10.  I had to find 2.3 on softpedia and install that before it worked.

Let me know how I can help you with debugging this problem.  I am using ClearType.  I don't see anything about DPI.  How do I determine that?

It looks that the problem is closely related with the CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) that StarUML is based on. We need to investigate the problem in detail, so it may takes long times.

Please keep using version 2.3 while we investigating this problem. Previous versions (including 2.3) can be downloaded from our web site (http://staruml.io/download).
