Extension Manager does not work

Hi,  I´m trying to install Java (starUml2) but it does not work :

It's work fine for me and other our machines now.

Could you tell me more information about your machine?: OS, OS version, StarUML2 version (see About Dialog) and console error dump (see Debugs > Show DevTools, select Console tab).

It looks there is some problem downloading extension.

Extensions are downloaded directly from Github.

We do not host any extension download servers .

Need to check that your machine is allowed to connect to Github via HTTP.

Please check the accessibility of the below url in your browser:

https://github.com/staruml/Java OR https://github.com/staruml/Java/archive/0.9.0.zip

If accessible, try to install extension manually.

1. Click "Install from Url" button in Extension Manager

2. Copy and paste the url: https://github.com/staruml/Java

3. Click "Install" button

I know this is old, but I get the exact same error, on any extension, and even when I try downloading from URL. Example: https://github.com/staruml/Cpp/archive/0.9.1.zip

I am on Windows 10, using latest version of StarUML to date.

We can't reproduce the problem, so please submit your problem in the following form:

• Environment Description (mandatory)
  • OS and OS version
  • StarUML version (See About Dialog)
• Reproducible steps (mandatory and important!)
  • Detailed steps to reproduce the problem
  • Error phenomenon description
  • Expected results
• Supplements (optional, but strongly required)
  • Error Dump (Select Debug -> Show DevTools and Copy the error messages in Console Tab)
  • Capture screenshot or video (if UI errors)
  • Attach your working file (.mdj), (if possible)

Hi,

It's not reproducible.

Some extension may have problem, so please try after again uninstall all the extensions manually (https://docs.staruml.io/user-guide/managing-extensions#uninstall-extension)

Please let me know the list of extensions you installed if you still have problem even after uninstalling all the extensions.

Hi,

  I have no extensions installed other than the default DDL that comes with the install.  I uninstalled and reinstalled STARUML and received the same error message. I also tried other extensions and recived the same error.

Hi,

It's still not reproducible. We can successfully extensions without any errors in Windows 10 and StarUML 5.1. (See attached screenshots)

And please note that DDL is not default extension. StarUML do not install any extensions in default.

Please try after the folder: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\StarUML\extensions

My mistake about the "Default" extension. After I uninstalled and re-installed the DDL Extension was there, so I assumed it was "default".

I found a work-around. My other laptop (Windows 11) is not having these problems, so I installed StarUML and all the extensions I needed, the replaced the C:\Users\<uername>\AppData\Roaming\StarUML folder on my main computer with the one from the 2nd computer and it seems to be working.

There should be more investigation though.
