Star UML Slow

Hi

I've been evaluating this software and am impressed with the functionality. However...SLOW !!

It's as if it's running on a 30 year old 6502 or something. Takes about 2 seconds to even register that I've clicked on an object, never mind to start dragging it. It's almost unusably slow.

Environment is:

MacbookPro

2.9 GHz Core 2 Duo

4 GB RAM, SSD Drive

Is this a common experience ? Is there any way to optimise it ?
