Open source project

Hi all,

I'm looking for guidance from someone who's familiar with creating and
managing an open source project. Specifically, I'm concerned about:

- setting up the project in the right place
- framing the problem to attract the right developers
- developing realistic and concrete goals
- managing the finished product
- maintaining support, bug reporting, distribution, etc.

I've recently set up a site at http://flotes.org that should give a
good background of the idea for anyone interested. Obviously the site
will evolve with the project.
