Hey Class,

Last class recap - Thanks to Garret Gee for a great talk and flying all the way from Utah to speak.  As someone our age, he's an example that it's possible to take an idea, take action, and build the foundations for a badass startup (Scan). Check out his awesome blog if you want to learn more about him or find his contact info.

Next week - We'll have another awesome speaker Eric Zhang, founder of Flotype. Eric and his company went through the first and last class of the UC Berkeley FounderSchool program, ultimately graduating to Y Combinator - one of the world's most prestigious incubator programs.

Work - Since there have been some issues with the google group. We'll give everyone until Thursday night class to catch up and do the assignments.

Here are the MobileWork Assignments (easy, quick, and hopefully a useful resource).

New assignment - Tell us about an entrepreneur/innovator you look up to - see form below.

Attendance - A number of you have already missed two classes. This limit is one. Some of you have emailed us with legitimate excuses. This is an easy unit. All you need to do is show up. We will be sending out makeup assignments in the next few weeks. We want to pass you all. Show up.

Interesting ReadWhile we're on the topic of Y Combinator, check out the Founder Paul Graham's Essays - Start with How to Start a Startup. They are very insightful and great source to learn how to make it happen in the fast paced startup world.

See you next class!

Jeremy
