On a similar note, I spoke to John Hussey about colab having a Friday afternoon showing of This Week in Startup....the show is recorded live at 1PM PDT/4PM EDT. I think it'll be a nice fit for the entrepreneur minded colab folk.

Startup Weekend Organization about coming down to the Miami event on
Saturday to observe how one of these events work and he said we could
sign up for the Sunday end-of-day ticket ($20) and then just show up
on Saturday and see what this is all about (or we could actually go to
the Sunday event, but that won't work for me because it starts at 4:30
pm on Sunday). I am planning on going down to Miami for just the day
on Saturday. I am thinking of getting up real early on Saturday
morning and then driving down for the day and then driving back in the

and you can ride with me. If anyone else is interested, I have room

I would love to see something like this happen in Orlando. Hopefully
we can gather some good information from the people who put this event
together in Miami and then share that information with everyone.
Theo, I know you are going down for the weekend maybe we could meet up
down there. I would like to put a face to a name. :-)

I just booked a ticket to the Miami Startup Weekend. Instead of just
observing like I had initially planned I decided to jump in and
participate, especially when I realized it was going to be a 4 hour
trip one way. Plus after doing some additional reading about this
event, participating seemed to be the best way to actually get a feel
for what an event like this could be like in Orlando.
Theo, I am not sure how big the venue is but hopefully we can meet
while we are both down there. I won't be getting there until
Saturday, but I plan on being there when the doors open at 9 am. I am
looking forward to an incredible event.
