This is an awesome project to be a part of, its an awesome opportunity
for teamwork and learning. Everyone has put a lot of thought into all
of the ideas, but we just don't have the people to do them all (at
least this time around). That said, the apparent winners of the
'voting' were:

* 5a (better google alerts) http://notes.avaaz.org/KRa20nRIhg
* 7a (hacker meets hacker)
* 8 (college dating) http://notes.avaaz.org/cIpWUW2Mdw
* 9a (meta) http://notes.avaaz.org/JnZTkYHQjH

We've done a lot of brainstorming and it would be a shame to lose the
momentum, so I think everyone should pick one of the above groups and
start building. 7a and 9a should probably join forces, I think the
ideas and people will mesh nicely.

Great!

I would merge 7a and 9a. I would also start like in 9a described not
location base because we wouldn't get enough traction in the
beginning.

When 9a flies and lots of projects are created, then we can think of
categorizing them into whatever (location, topics, etc.) But for the
beginning 9a is the way

    I think that the description that I have done at the beginning about 10 (9a?) have been changed a little bit and turned into something that makes 7a and 9a really similar. There are strong differences in 7a and 10:
  • 7a is about people wanting to do a specific project and searching for partners.
  • 10 is about people that wants to get some experience and meet other guys, like us. It is not necessary to have a specific project in mind.

The original concept is a LOT different that Hacker Meets Hacker. HmH is about people with a project in mid. SuSu is a place that could go in this way:
1. Open list so people can join.
2. Close list and check who is still active and interested
3. People are offered a list of project while also being able to start whatever they want.
4. Choosing period closes and people start to work in a MVP
5. MVP period ends and people starts trying to get users and profit.
6. Grow period ends. People who reach until here form part of the SuSu alumni.

Other than that, 7a could be done with a "just locals" or "everyone" option. You are right guys: It have a lot of sense.

Hi Francisco,

Thanks for the clarification! The projects are indeed different.

The questions is:

Do we want to let the people start in ONE etherpad starting to
brainstorm about ideas (instantfounder variant 1) or do we want to let
them start in MULTIPLE etherpads starting to brainstorm respective
ideas (instantfounder variant 2, mockup: http://bayimg.com/HaLoHaaDJ
).

I am indifferent what's better in terms of clarity, pace, project
organization, traction. We can decide which way to go or we can
separate the projects again, no big deal!

Thoughts?
