[Tracking Krezek and Chandler, Earth]

Bob hunkered down in the brush and waited to see if he could hear anything. Hopefully the fauna and wildlife in the area would keep him concealed for the moment. Pulling out his tricorder he checked the status of the shuttle he had just barely escaped from. Suddenly, it disappeared and a large explosion could be seen in the distance.

“Great, destroying our way of escape … that will make this all the more fun,” Bob said as he tucked his tricorder away and turned himself around and faced the direction of one of the other shuttles. Without a way out of here, they were not going to survive this. That meant only one thing: time to get some new transportation.

With nothing in his hands he began his run through the brush to take on his assailants. They were almost a mile off, and at his current pace he would make it in a little over ten minutes if nothing else would come up.

No sooner had the thought crossed his mind when a phaser blast lanced out in front of him and sent Bob tumbling into the underbrush. Completing the roll and instinctively grabbing his hand phaser from his side Bob lost his footing on the edge of a small ravine and began his tumble downhill.

It was enough noise to tip off his pursuer, and the phaser fire coming from above was all that was needed to remind Bob that he needed to get control of himself soon or he was going to get picked off easily.

At the bottom of the ravine was a stream running quickly due to the excess rains the area had received recently. Martens fell into it with a splash and he quickly leaped for cover as another blast came from up above. With the agent now having the high ground, it was going to be much harder to try and get to whatever craft they had came in on.

Bob kept on the move as the phaser from above kept cutting down the trees and other vegetation in the area to try and weed him out. All of a sudden, the phaser stopped for a second and it laced out in front of Bob. He stumbled back and got back to his feet again as a tree fell over on his right side. Thankful that he was still alive he looked around for his hand phaser and saw it gleaming in the stream, being taken farther away from him.

Taking a risk Bob bolted from his cover and sprinted toward his phaser, getting closer just as the agent began to take aim once again. Bob took one last leap in the air, rolled onto the ground as he grabbed his phaser, fell onto his stomach and could feel the phaser beam above his body.

Rolling over Bob was able to take aim and then fired off one phaser blast, hitting the agent right in the stomach. He crumpled to the ground and fell down that same hill, dead.

Breathing deeply, Bob then fell to his knees in the stream and took a second to gather himself. Relieved, he checked over his phasers, and satisfied, pulled out his tricorder to check where he should be going. Looking at the topography, he could see that the stream ran right past their suspected landing sight. No better way to try and sneak up than using a stream for cover.

So, once again, he was off.
