[2425.01 - 2425.02, Captain Kit Taylor, Begin Log]
We managed to capture all of the baby Krillspire on Sylva, but not without incident. Banor, Unit and Red were attacked by the ‘Kalisq’ which wasn’t actually a demon, but an animal who releases a sedative gas when threatened. As well as causing them to fall unconscious, the gas induced terrible nightmares.
The Android children were not affected, so C3 called me, asking what to do. C6 had run off into the forest after Rain, and C4 and C5 had followed, leaving C3 alone with the unconscious organics. I told him to move them and himself into Ohana until I got there. I was still wearing the breathing apparatus I’d been using to help Luute and Kalyrin-ik catch the Krillspire that had gotten into the spring, so the gas didn’t affect me. We transported Banor, Unit and Red to sickbay where Me’D and Tas were able to treat them and wake them up.
Mia had also had terrible nightmares from the Sporebites. The hallucinogenic is out of her system, but she seems very shaken. Tas has called her parents.
C3 and I found the other Android children in the forest and transported them back to Prodigy. We were able to collect the rest of the Krillspire, including the one in the Kalisq’s nest, with Bitey’s help.
The Chernov council has decided not to join the DFA or the Federation (and thankfully also not the Cardassians) but we remain friends and Luute plans to arrange an alliance with the Kal’mar.
After Sylva, Prodigy headed for Earth for the Flag Tour (and a much needed vacation).
I am on a Scavenger Hunt arranged by Desson with Carson. Unit, Lyra, Damon, Six, Neilson and Zee are also doing the Scavenger Hunt. Zee also appears to have acquired 5 ferrets… I’m afraid to ask where they came from but at least she’s avoided jail this time. Mia’s parents and grandfather arrived and are taking Mia and Toby to the planet today.
Oh and we have a new asylum seeker … who was an assassin sent to [Redacted]. His name is ‘Eversor’ and Banor is handling that. He’s handled Eversor himself well, but it did lead to me having to have a meeting with khre’Riov tr’Erik who described Banor as a ‘psychotic blue XB’. On the bright side, I think I smoothed things over and relations with Stask and the DFA seem to be good, although the meeting did reveal some information they may pose a new threat to Prodigy’s crew, or at least those of us who were on Pangaere. I’m not too worried since I don’t see anyone getting past the Borg but I do need to warn Carson, since he and Martis could also be in danger.

I’ve been really enjoying learning about Jordan’s custom race, the Kal’mar, and their diplomacy with the Chernov. Jordan also provided a lot of the illustrations and ideas we used on Sylva, such as the Seedling and the Kalisq. C3’s character development on that mission was also a joy to read and I think we’re all enjoying Zee’s ferrets :)
