i'd really like to see an export function so i can export bookmarks
from StartAid back into Firefox.

Hi,
We do have such a function :)
If you go to startaid.com and under the options menu there is the ability to backup your bookmarks.
If you backup your bookmarks in html format you can import this into Firefox or IE :)
