Hello folks,

After finally updating my old humdrum files after a long while I seem to have run into a new problem with the various pitch processing commands (deg, semits, solfa, pretty much anything using the "-x" option). Whenever I try to use these commands with the "-x" option (or an option that does something similar like deg's "-a" option) I receive an error:

awk: ~/humdrum-tools/humdrum/bin/x_option.awk: line 598: function process_MIDI never defined

After trying to figure out exactly what was happening, I found that commenting out lines 306-307 of the "x_option.awk" file seemed to fix the problem. Those lines are the only part of the script that call the supposedly undefined "process_MIDI" function. I'm not sure if this will affect any of the MIDI-related humdrum commands but I've not used them very much to begin with so not much is lost for me personally. Regardless, I figured I would bring attention to this issue in case this is a global problem or one unique to my machine (the latter wouldn't surprise me).

All the best and Happy Holidays,
Andrew Brinkman
