STAR'S END Update 07.27.25

On AEONS (33:42) Guitarist Mark Dwane heads out once again across an expanse of synthesized sound toward new prospects on the horizon. Traveling amidst those unmarked areas of the star chart this release makes for a captivating, often glorious listening experience. With its celestial choirs, luminous pads and delicate atmospheres the seven compositions contain all the cosmic drama for which this artist has become known. Yet, as widely as it wanders AEONS is a more quietly imagined electronic journey. The music throughout is bright, shimmering and curvaceous; its sonic imagery ignited through beautiful synth string harmonies and heartfelt lead lines. Further in, an occasional drum kit adds a slow crescendo of texture in potent, enlivening zones of energy and life. These radiant accelerations open up warm and beautiful spaces, then moves us slowly through them - but not so fast as to disturb the rare and expansive realm conjured by this album. Softly sounding in serenity, then darkening down in descending spirals, the way AEONS places us in the universal realm is quite captivating. Although this thought might make Mark Dwane's music seem like it belongs to the heavens, we have always known that the best parts of his works reside right here on the Earth - and lives on within human hearts.

Please tune in to the 08.10.25 broadcast of STAR'S END for music from the release AEONS by Mark Dwane, and much more...

STAR'S END Space Camp 2025 - Huron: 10 August

Johnny Lancia realizes blissed-out ambient works and concerts under the name Huron. His music is filled with heady drones and distinguishing rhythms that reflect his love of the natural world - filtered through a variety of modular synthesizers, analog electronics and tape manipulation processes. His array of synthesizers, samplers and effects offer a paradise of hidden synergies, and conspire with the composer to suggest a kind of beautiful, untouchable realm.

Huron returns to STAR'S END on the broadcast of 10 August 2025, as part of Space Camp 2025. Please tune in for details and/or stream live on Youtube:
