Hi, Fred Stetson passed away recently, after failing health. If you knew Fred, you knew his as unpretentious but confident, generous, knowledgeable, courteous, a talented writer, photographer, and an excellent tennis player. Our world is a little less civil for Fred's absence, I suppose some other world has welcomed his wonderful spirit. As plans for remembrance unfold, I will pass them along. Bill

Yes, so very sorry Kate and family for the loss of such a special guy. Fred was the epitome of a gentleman. He had a beautiful little sailboat anchored in front of our camp for years, that was so loved by him and added to the ambience of Starr Farm. I was gifted a sail with him a few times and it was lovely.
Fred, you will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear this. Fred was so kind and curious. He loved sailing as much as me and we always exchanged salty stories when we saw each other and a few cherished memories of sailing on his beloved Beetle Cat.

His gentle spirt will be missed, sending heaps of love to Kate.

It is sad to hear that Fred is no longer with us. He was a special person and I am so glad that we have a photo that Fred produced hanging in our camp.  Sending my love and sympathy to Kate.

So sorry to hear about Fred and our condolences to Kate. Fred loved to watch hockey and we got together on several ocassions at camp to watch the Boston Bruins. Also my daughter-in-law enjoyed playing tennis with Fred while in Vermont. He had such a calm spirit about him and was always there to help when things needed taking care of. He will be greatly missed by all. Rest in Peace Fred.
