Are there a shell-parameters for sdaemon? Where do I find a good
documentation? The files on CD are little bit to short.

Many thanks for your answer.

Best regards

Jürgen

PS: I don't want a complete support for scheduler and FreeBSD, I only
want some hints where to find some documentation.

Hi Jürgen,
maybe this helps you.....

In order to start and/or stop the services (Server and Administration)
for the StarOffice Schedule Server from the command line, you must enter
the following commands:

Solaris / Linux (e.g., .../sdlsrv52/program/service"):
./sadmind -stop
./sschdled -stop
./sadmind -start
./sschdled -start

Windows NT (e.g., ...\sdlsrv52\program\service"):
net start sadmind
net start sschdled
net stop sadmind
net stop sschdled

These services will no longer run and you can, for example, make a backup
of your calendar data.

Oh, an answer :-) Many thanks.

I have tested this. But that is not the point. I wondering about the
"huge" amount of instances of one daemon. As written in my config-file
only two instances should be started. The reality is that 12 and more are
running.
Are there parameters for generating a log-file, or number of instances
or...?

After two minutes or so always one instance dies and produces a
core-dump before an other new instance is started. After one day uptime
the pid of the last process is about 20000.

I thinks that is'n a normal state.

Best regards

Jürgen
