First make sure your database supports relations.
Open the data source, open the database.
From the tables item, select the Relations option.
Add the tables to the graphics area and with the mouse drag the items
to be related together.
If your database does not support relations you might just need to
link items in a query, this can be done in a similar way with the mouse.
To establish relations between tables, you need a
Adabas database containing at least two tables. Both tables must have a
primary key.
Open the database in StarOffice Explorer and click "Tables". Right-click
directly above a
table name to open the context menu, and select "Relations".
In the upper left corner of the database view, you will see a button
depicting a small
table icon preceded by a "+". Click this button to open a list of
available tables.
Select a table from the list and click [Add]. Repeat this process, if
necessary, to join
more tables.
For each table, StarOffice displays a field list. Click a database
field, press the left
mouse button and drag to a field in another table. When you release the
mouse button, a
line will be drawn from the field in table 1 to the field in table 2.
This line
represents the relation between the two tables.
When you have established all relations, click "Save" in the function bar.
