Hi all,
I have just manage to install (in root logon) staroffice 6.0 using command:
chmod 777 staroffice6.bin
./staroffice6.bin

Setup is completed (the files are installed to default location in /root).
It says it could not find the files needed to install Adabas database but
then it said it can be done by downloading it from the internet).

My problems are:
1. How can I add icon to menu? (This is because there's no menu being
setup..I have to use shell to start the program.I like it a bit user
friendly.)

2. I have trouble running it from user logon using shell. It says it could
not connect to X server. I can only managed to start Staroffice using shell
that has root permission. How can I start the program without being logon
using root password?

this is the error that I received:
> linux:/usr/local/share/staroffice6.0 # ./staroffice6.0
> Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
> Xlib: No protocol specified
>
> /usr/local/share/staroffice6.0/program/soffice.bin:
> cannot open display ":0.0"
> Please check your "DISPLAY" environment variable
> as well as the permissions to access that display.
> (See "man X" resp. "man xhost" for details)
> linux:/usr/local/share/staroffice6.0 #

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Best regards,
Lee....
