StarlogoTNG quit unexpectadly

After installation i tried to open StarlogoTng but it keeps quitting and closing down. This problem is happening to three of us who use the Maverick and Mountain Lion operating systems on the Mac. What could be the error in this case?

Have you tried checking the security preferences that allow for running software from all locations. It is under security and privacy. Allow apps downloaded from "anywhere".  

Hopefully that should work for you.
