Facebook is requiring me to upload a notarized identity form (theirs is the only one they accept). I click the download button but I cannot find the downloaded form. Where is it? I really am at my wits end on this - there does not seem to be any Facebook support
Answer: Almost in all jurisdictions, a notary public is employed by the government in capacity of public official in continuous-less issues to help in preventing fraud. Notary public can witness the signing of any legal documents and verify the identity of the signers.
Answer: A notarization can only be performed by a public notary officer, while an attestation may be done by anyone who can serve as a witness. Also, when a notarial act is in process, the Notary Public will need to put his or her stamp on the document.
A notarized document confirms you are who you say you are. You can download the blank form from facebook.com/id and take it to the notary public. Facebook does not accept any other forms except for the one provided.
Answer: Make sure to look out for these things when finding a notary public; they should be commissioned. Their commission must be in date - facebook won't accept your form if they're not. Facebook don't accept self-made fake digital notaries.

Once you have submitted your form of identification, Facebook will temporarily confirm your identity for 21 days while you wait to complete step two of the verification process. Step two is getting a letter in the mail from Facebook with a unique code. There are instructions on the letter from Facebook on where you should enter this code. After this code has been approved, it is likely that your account will get verified.
In some instances, a third step is required. Facebook will provide a letter on the page that you enter your mailed code on. This letter will be a Verification of Identity, which you will need to take to a licensed notary and get it notarized. Lastly, you will upload the notarized document back to Facebook and then you will be officially approved within 3 business days.
I answered the identification questions correctly but FB said it was wrong. Now I have to get a notarized form. I downloaded the form and went to a notary. The notary said this form is not correct because it is a combination of two different types of forms that can be notarized and it does not specify any state. The notary added some language to try to make it legal and notarized it. I uploaded it. FB rejected it with basically no information as to why and no way to appeal or contact anyone. The only option was to download another form. I did so. Went to a second notary. The second notary said the same thing as the first. The document is basically a hybrid of the two different types of documents that can be notarized. In order to make it legitimate, she had to attach the two different types to the form provided by FB. FB will not let me upload a three page PDF. Did FB not think to contact a notary prior to implementing an invalid type of notary form? Or is this purposely meant to be some kind of wild goose chase?
