Im not sure will need to check but my phone is not even set up yet as i was pairing it up with ipad which it would not allow as said my sim was not supported.

Im not even sure im able to go in settings as believe i had to set phone first?

So i went on Vodafone unlock tool put in my imei number it told me price pay for it and wait couple of days.

I purchased it from officeworks it does not let you set up phone as says sim not supported which means by phone is locked to Vodafone.

When i was seting up phone select English and to the part it says connect to my ipad that's when it said sim not connected.

I did try my sim again there i wish to use on my new phone and it just comes up with sim not supported and can't access settings etc.

When i take sim out i can see the stuff on the phone etc by default i suppose as i had to skip the set up from ipad to move stuff over im sure it needed sim to work.

These where definitely locked to Vodafone its pre paid not a plan and most who got this phone from officeworks where aware there maybe a fee to pay to unlock it.

Most as i said did so, some got lucky, mine only said $25 to unlock instead of $50.

Not sure if having phone since march played a part on that as it was still sealed unused in box. So no idea why i was $25 to unlock.

I asume im to wait my 2 days as Vodafone say when paying the unlock fee

I will not be able to go on itunes as my computer is no longer working and my laptop i forgot to update to windows 10 back in the day when it was free to do so. And im worried i lose my stuff on it and on other hand i dont want to use it currently as it's not secure anymore with not having Windows 10.

But im not sure why i would need i tunes as im just trying to unlock my iphone from Vodafone which many had to do from buying this from officeworks works.

I put in my imei number as asked and paid $25 unlock fee it said wait 2 full working days.

I not tried my sim in phone as of now, i did approx lunch time yesterday as that would have been close to 2 days then.

When i go on Vodafone unlock page enter my imei on there still says locked so im assuming it's still locked?

As otherwise im taking out sim from one phone into another to check regular which is a pain.

Edit: Also have you attached to wifi. I don't know have the unlock codes are sent. Do you need to be connected to the Vodafone network or is being connected via wifi enough or will they send you some manual code to enter?

Im assuming Vodafone is my carrier as its locked with them, i not connected up with them even when it comes with sim as no interest in Vodafone.

Im with boost and obviously went on Vodafone unlock page to unlock phone put in imei and paid fee it asked.

From there on nothing has happened yet in regards to unlocked phone.

I thought you was given a code but how nothing is said in the unlocking page about any unlock codes sent and where do they send it? Im not connected to Vodafone and i use boost sim all info they have is my imei number.

I have een a bit busy to deal with phones recently and not actually chevked by puttijg in my boost sim card into my iPhone.

But yesterday i entered my imei number into Vodafone unlock page and it had changed from locked on that to unlocked.

So it actually took 3 days not 2 days like they say.

As i skipped a good part of the set up process most importantly stuff from my ipad to iphone what's the process or steps i should do first?

Do i need to do a reset? And does a reset mess with an unlocking of a phone?

Or can i just go to settings somewhere and am able to set up phone properly that way.

Purchased a iphone se 2020 back in march still not got around to setting it up yet.

It's a pre paid phone and was Purchased from officeworks the network is Vodafone which obviously i have no interest in.

Some customers got lucky and there phone was unlocked but many was locked.

I have just noticed i Purchased this phone back in 7th march this year and i noticed Vodafone mention the below:

What does this mean was my phone supposed to have been activated ie say on Vodafone to qualify for this or just owning the phone for 6 months?

Do i qualify as around 7th sept it would be 6 months.i have owned it obviously still sealed.

According to the post on the deals section of this site the phone which some got lucky and it was unlocked but most had to unlock and pay.

It even tells you on Vodafone site prepaid phones after certain dates are locked.

There is only one way to find out i suppose and check and i should know.

After finding the info on owning 6 months etc i was hoping it was cheaper to unlock.

And no i was not holding on this long to get unlock for less just not got around to setting it up.
