SG4 - Briefing Call [Benson]

The email came in just as Judith was about to call an end to paperwork
(and busywork and whatever else kind of work was going to keep her
sitting at her desk) for the day.

She frowned as she turned back to the computer, braced herself for
whatever it was going to be. Good news was a lot rarer these days,
whatever front she put on when she talked to anyone.

Even Matt. It was less 'keeping up morale' with him and more 'we both
know, so what's the point in talking.'

(Jake caught the brunt of her temper when the frustration with it all
got too overwhelming, but he could take it.)

And there it was, in black and white on her screen. Briefing tomorrow,
0800. Be there or be... something unpleasant, she was sure.

What she wasn't sure of was whether they were in any way ready.

She tapped out the email to the team with swift and sure fingers; this
part at least, was by rote. It was when she came to the cc line that she
paused, her jaw clenched, and she deleted 'David West' from the
automatic fill. Added Timorov.

Hit send.

So be it. Time to find out how this new group would play together.
