I was following the instructions to convert my Yealink VP59 to a Zoom appliance and got to a point where the phone rebooted and is now locked up. The phone boots up, tells me the firmware that I was told to install is already on the phone, and then presents me with a screen that says "Please import the license" and I cannot do anything with the phone now. Does anyone know how to import the license that can help me?
Yes, you will need to go to license.yealink.com , create an account and then register the VP59 to get a license. You'll receive a DAT file by email from Yealink. Connect to the phone's web interface by IP address from your computer, and you'll find a place to upload the license. I believe that the phone then rebooted and it was set to go after that. Sorry, it has been a while since I did it.
I found the answer to my question on Yealink's website and just successfully connected to my Yealink phone! For anyone reading this who is not familiar with the syntax for connecting to your Yealink VP59 phone's web interface it is https://
I'm happy that you found it. I'm just seeing this now. You reply just need the https:// plus the IP address, it will default to the correct login page. So, is your VP59 up and running now in Zoom Phone Appliance mode now?
My pleasure! Feel free to reach out if you have questions about ZPA on the VP59. I know all of the quirks, or most of them anyway that you won't see in the Zoom support documentation. The most important one though is if you are making number selections on an IVR, make sure that you select the Keypad window in the Zoom app of the display, otherwise the physical number button presses on the phone won't be recognized. It took Zoom support several months to figure that out.
Eventually, looking at the Zoom device management, I edited the device and saw a setting to permit the web interface for admins, it was set to off. I set that to on and rebooted the device, then I could connect!
