The lasers and missiles move so quickly now that you can hardly see them.
Combat was intended to be somewhat arcade style, not uber-realistic. I
don't care if they are lasers, the player needs to be able to frigging see
them.

Laser projectiles and missiles must be slowed down so they're visible
otherwise combat is no fun. The area of influence around the player is
basically what you can see on the screen, along with a small area around
the screen via the radar, the gameplay is not 100% radar, which is how it
currently plays. We should let the player unleash a horde of missiles if
they are well armed. Same with lasers.. lots and lots of projectiles, not
just a few fast movers.

Working on this today.. To explain.. Lasers should be numerous and rapid
fire for the most part, like a machine gun. Think of the phasers on the
ships in the new Star Trek. But they don't do much damage at all.. missiles
hit really hard and are not fired very often in contrast. Someone monkeyed
with combat who didn't understand the difference so I'm putting it back
where it belongs. Also working on ship movement at the same time for
another issue.
