So, with RegEx being what it is, I tried to make it more complex. (©®[ -㌀]\ud83c[퀀-\udfff]\ud83d[퀀-\udfff]\ud83e[퀀-\udfff]️)/g was a bit more successful in matching the built-in emoji, but still wasn't perfect. This RegEx was designed to match unicode characters specifically.

Teachers will take different emoji stickers, then ask children to identify each sticker and choose their favorite one to put on the map randomly. Teachers then need to let MatataBot face toward the sticker while keeping 2-3 squares away from it. After doing that, teachers can invite children to code with them. MatataBot can reach the sticker by placing 2-3 move forward coding blocks after pressing the start button. In this process, teachers can encourage children to actively participate in placing coding blocks through language guidance and action demonstration and let them enjoy it.

Encourage children to tell what the selected emoji sticker represents and when will this emotion occur. Let them evaluate the emotional degree of different stickers by using words such as not strong, a little strong, very strong, extremely strong, etc. Then the teachers take the same sticker and stick it on the map. If you have a trackpad, you can use it to write Simplified or Traditional Chinese characters, Cantonese characters, punctuation, and emoji with your finger. As you write Chinese or Cantonese, macOS learns your word choices and presents you with more accurate options in the candidate bar.

After you set up a Handwriting input source and activate the Trackpad Handwriting window, macOS recognizes strokes as you draw them on the trackpad. The window shows matching characters, punctuation, and emoji in a single row on top, with the closest match in the upper-left corner.

To select a character or symbol that matches your strokes, tap the trackpad in the location that corresponds to the location where the item appears in the candidate bar (or use the Touch Bar, if your Mac has one).
