Is there a test/trial version for Win95/NT which I can download , or
do I have to purchase the product first ??
If so - what is the price of StarOffice 4.0 for 95/NT

There was a version called Beta II which expired at the end of
February. Since that time there has not been any statement of SD
although a lot of potential customer willing to pay asked and
complained in the English newsgroups.
However, at the moment there is a huge computer fair in Germany
(CeBIT) taking place and hopefully SD is going to tip us the wink
how they will proceed with their international version of SO4. OTOH
everywhere in Europe are appearing OEM Versions of SO4 right now.

Yes, and some of those potential customers, like myself, have given up on
StarOffice because of the lack of news. Three days ago I went out and
bought Wordperfect Suite 8 for my NT machine. I decided not to bother
anymore with StarDivision. I had used their betas since 3.0 for OS/2. I
always loved the product but I need to have an actual product that I don't
have to worry about expiration dates on. My dad's OS/2 machine (my former
machine) will be getting an upgrade to Win95 and another copy of
Wordperfect Suite 8 will be bought for it. StarDivision just lost out on
two copies of their product being sold because of all the crap they put us
through.

Selling them in Europe doesn't necessarily help the rest of the world.
Promises...promises....

Hi,
Well, I know what you are talking about and I understand you completely.
Only to avoid misunderstandings: They also do not sell any kind of their
products in Europe (expect Germany of course). The only version which
poped up is an OEM.
Please SD!! React!!! in any way.
