I am having problem viewing URLs that ends with "default.asp". It
seems StarOffice 5.1 can deal with asp as long as the URL contain
".asp" in the middle. But if the URL ends with ".asp," SO5.1 chokes on
it.

For example:

This works

http://www.3dfx.com/view.asp?IOID=285

and this doesn't

https://mva.state.md.us/mdmva/default.asp

Could you someone confirm this behavior?

I am using SO5.1 on OS/2 Warp 3 FP 35.

Thanks

Sushenjit

I really think your problem has to do with the https, not the asp. I
have seen no indication the browser supports SSL.

I've had no luck contacting secure sites with https: this is a big
problem for me since I access my secure Charles Schwab accounts online
regularly, so I'm having to switch to Netscape's browser rather than the
built-in StarOffice one. That, and an irritating inability to delete
POP3 messages from my POP3 account when I delete them from my local mail
reader, means that StarOffice is not yet capable of being my default
environment, much as I would like to use it.

Sooooo, Hey Sun Microsystems. Listen UP! You've still got some work to
do if you want to compete in the Office marketplace, against Micro$oft.
How about taking the Netscape technology for browsing and integrating it
and the best parts of Netscape Messenger with StarOffice?

Nobody's listening I know, but it makes me feel better.
