From this point, you can manipulate the image using a variety of built in tools, or you can simply save it in the format you choose. Here are some sample screens to provide an idea of some of the options:

One difference when comparing with SnagIt is that ScreenHunter completes the task and saves the file to the hard drive in the specified format, using a time/date automatically generated file name. With SnagIt, that second screen comes up and you can then choose from a variety of formats on the fly and choose your own file name, or save in successive (different) formats (as seen above). So overall, SnagIt is much more versatile, but it comes down to your own needs of this product type.

ScreenHunter Free is a simple program to make screenshots. Being free this application provides you with basic functionality without any advanced features.

The application will let you capture a full screen, active window, or rectangular area. Upon your choice the capture may be saved as a .png, .gif, or .jpg file, in color or in gray scale. The name to the saved capture will be given automatically; this free version does not allow you to specify a name for each capture before it is saved, which is possible in the program's Plus and Pro editions.

Harvest ScreenThe harvest screen will be displayed after the activation of a dead animal (via clicking [E]/(X)). The harvest screen will display various informations about the animal as well as ballistic reports for the hunt of it.

The general information part of the harvest screen contains info's about the animal gender, its weight, its fur color, how long the animal has been tracked, how difficult the animal is to shoot and what kind of trophy the species bears.

This part of the harvest screen shows information which influence the obtained score for the game. Influencing factors are indicated with the Harvest Check. To pass the Harvest Check you must complete 4 items:

A modifier based on the time it took for an animal to die from the shot. The shorter the time, the better the score will be. In order to achieve 100% Quick Kill Bonus, the animal must drop in 8 seconds or less.

The player can cycle through all the shots that impacted the animal to see more details such as the percentage of total damage done by the shot or organs and bones that were hit. Also, the used weapon, ammunition, shot distance and the obtained weapon score will be displayed.

In multiplayer, also the name of each shooting player will be displayed.

Taxidermization allows the player to save the harvested animal for display in a Hunting Lodge. The animal can be either taxidermized directly via selection of Taxidermize or saved for later taxidermization via selection of Save Harvest. This allows to save harvests for display even if one is short on cash.

A long time ago Vivian Evans pointed me to ScreenHunter Free for Windows. I never really got into it at the time, I think I was searching for a free video screen recorder, but in my born again screengrab thinking a went and fetched it this time and boy is it light and fast. It is a free and simple little application that will initiate when the key of your choice is pressed. It will either capture the screen, an active window or a region of your choosing, then automatically turn it into either a JPG, GIFF, or BMP image file and save it where you set it to save. It makes for rapid screengrabbing compared to having to paste into an image editor.

From the list of options find the option ScreenHunter 4.0 Free and click the link ending in .exe This will set your computer to download an .exe file which is generally a file for installing software. Sometimes virus software comes as exe, which is why your computer will probably ask you if you are sure you want to open the downloaded file and install the program. Just say yes and you will get a new window which is the start of the installation process.

What I do for screenshots is to use the print screen function, as Newark mentioned. However, what I then do is paste the screenshot into Paint or a word processor. If you use Paint you can trim the shot down to what you want.

There is currently no PC that you can buy that will run FSX smoothly with everything turned on and set to high. Also you would need to spend $500 on a video card that would run it even close to high.

Thankfully FS2004 and all the 3rd party add ons are still great to me.

This undergraduate course explores the representation, expression, and politics of Black sexuality through an interdisciplinary range of literary texts and visual media. We will focus on canonical, popular, and marginalized voices of Black life and sexual histories, with a focus on a queer archive. Students will benefit from screenings, in-class activities, guest visits, and field trips. Discussions will include discourses of power, performance, culture, ritual, resistance, intersectionality, and the body as text. By the end of this course, students will have gained a deeper appreciation for the complexity and diversity of Black sexuality, as well as the cultural and political implications that surround its literary productions. They will be equipped with the critical tools to engage in meaningful dialogues about representation, expression, and the power of pleasure within the context of Black life and sexual legacies. Authors whose work we will engage will include Audre Lorde, Jeremy O. Harris, E. Patrick Johnson, Patricia Hill Collins, George M. Johnson, bell hooks, Marlon Riggs, George C. Wolfe, Sister Souljah, Tarell Alvin McCraney, Donja Love, and Zane.

Please note: This course requires the screening of films and media. Ideally, all students should have internet access to screen materials from home that may not be shown during in-class sessions.

Hey All,I was hoping for some help on this! Is there a way to change where you save screenshots when you take them by pressing "V" in flightsim?I'm not a huge fan of them going into my "Pictures" folder.Thanks in advance!

TACThere is a very messy way of changing the location of the FSX screenshots but it involves editing the registry and changing the location of the My Documents\(or Documents depending on OS)'My Pictures' folder (these are called "SHELL" folders: -tech-tips.com/windows-vista/move-my-pictures-to-different-location/ or -my-documents-folder-default-location-path-in-xp-and-vista/ or _DocumentsIf you are running WinXP it may be possible via tweakui!I myself wouldn't recommend it unless you are happy editing the registry! :( RegardsPeterH

Why not save your self some trouble and use a third party screen capture (free) utility such as Screen Hunter - or if you are running Win 7, the great little "snippet" tool.
