Hi Cayto,

What you posted under the group Pages should be posted as a discussion
(which is sent out to members). That's how Google Groups works; it's a
newsletter type group. I will delete it and copy what you wrote here
and people can reply via e-mail (which will be posted here as a
thread, unless they choose to email you privately):

"Hello there
I am glad i have stumbled across this group!
I have felt compelled in recent years to find “the others” my term for
people who perhaps share a common “affliction”.
I have always felt different, a little out of place and time, as if I
were alien to this world. I have ALWAYS had this nagging
unresolved desire to complete some sort of unknown task. Initially I
thought I was suffering from some sort of mental disorder … there were
episodes of depression, feelings of alienation (no pun intended),
anger, and confusion as I struggled to repress this other me.
I have always been on a spiritual path and have “known” certain things
even as a small child. There is a little anecdotal evidence of this
difference, yet nothing earth shattering. I know that we have to
change the way we think in order to be liberated and my studies have
brought me to a point where I realize that I need to find the others.
Fortunately I had NOT read nor was aware of any “STARPEOPLE”
literature before I had embarked on my search. I think this fact lends
a little credence to the fact that something strange is going on and
not merely some sort of wish fulfillment or a mental aberration. I am
fortunate enough to have a friend who is a clinical psychologist with
whom I speak about this “alienation”, he assures me that I am not mad
J nor am I a candidate for a personality disorder. I think we need to
be careful however before we blindly accept the results of some star
person questionnaire as being gospel.
I am a little uncomfortable with the “star person” label. I am not
convinced that we know enough about this condition to make these
claims nor cling to a label that might appeal to our particular
mindset. What we know is that there are certain people who are
“different”, who share certain commonalities and who seem to be driven
to complete an urgent upcoming task of global importance. If there is
indeed something to this “difference” we seem to display, then we need
to approach this unknown task with level heads and not fire off at
tangents. Your thoughts?

regards

Paul"

Now, in response to your initial post, I personally am not against
using the term "Star People." I'm not going to get picky about
labeling and all that. The term stuck with me and a lot of other
people. It's been around for a long time. It's easier to just go by
this name so people can find us easier. How else will we gather
efficiently when we don't know what to call ourselves? I think it's
pretty much a non issue. You don't have to use the term if you don't
want to. I just do because it's simple and it's actually how I my
journey started. The words just popped into my head and I felt
compelled to start researching. And Voila! Here I am.

And I agree about the mental illness. I too thought something was
wrong with me, but I realize this is just a symptom. Unfortunatley
some people can not take it and end up abusing drugs or committing
suicide.

Hi there

Thanks for the response

I have had a look around the internet for "Star People" sites.
Some make the most fantastic claims complete with alien race
statistics, histories and precise mission parametres. I think a little
caution is needed and a little commonsense especially when dealing
with the abstract. Where does the data come from? How reliable is the
data? etc etc. Hence my concern. I don't really care what people
choose call themselves but do advise a little caution before making
these associations and taking "mental" leaps. In essence everything is
made from star matter so as a label its not that unique to anything or
anyone in particular.

Whats important to me however is undertanding this thing as well as
figuring out what i am supposed to be doing, which brings me here in
the hopes of sharing what i seem to have in common with some other
very extraordinary people. How did it all start with you? At which
point did you realize that there was something different about you?

Kind regards
Paul

Hello:

The Star People concept was introduced in 1976 in my book GODS OF AQUARIUS:
UFOS AND THE TRANSFORMATION OF MAN. I had begun collecting data in the
questionnaire that I first developed in 1967. GODS OF AQUARIUS will soon be
released with updated material.

Next, of course, came THE STAR PEOPLE in 1981, the Star People series of
books, and STARBORN in 1992.

You can check results of the Star People questionnaire updated as of
February 2008, and find the expanded questionnaire on our website
www.bradandsherry.com

You will find no fantastic claims there...just the results of 40 years of
research in an attempt to provide a few pieces to the Great Cosmic Jigsaw
Puzzle.

Many Blessings,

Brad and Sherry

Dear Brad and Sherry

I highly respect your work and dedication. You are a shining light in
what can sometimes be a minefield of dubious data. I have heard
interiews you (Brad) did on a couple of podcasts i listen to and was
greatly impressed by your approach. It was your questionnaire which i
completed last year that spurred me on, to once and for all find some
meaning to this puzzle. In a way it gave me hope that the years of
alienation i felt was perhaps shared by others and that i did not have
some sort of personality disorder.

I am cautious by nature so tend to examine the "unknown" from
different perspectives before comming to any firm conclusions. I
haven't the faintest idea of what i am supposed to be doing which has
been the most soul destroying/frustrating aspect of this thing. Until
recently i didn't think anyone out there felt like i did so had made
no real progress in this regard.

It is my sincere wish just to talk to like-minded individuals and
share information, i am not sure what else to do at this point.

kind regards
Paul

Brad, I love your book The Star People. I go back to it often just to
re-read bits and pieces.

Do you know if you'll be on Coast to Coast AM any time soon. I always
enjoy hearing you on podcasts. (It would be great if you had your own
podcast!)

Another person I love to listen to is Dr. Richard C. Boylan! Very
interesting man.
