How has the government failed to find the People who gassed the nation? Does need to take HH to push Jack to act? The previous IG was very focussed on this case. He was removed. Why? The new IG has never even said anything about the gassers. Why? We need to be serious!! WHO WAS GASSING our people kanshi?

When the wicked ascends the throne wickedness increases. Our nation is getting to be like that nation in Africa called South Africa in terms of crime such as suicide, infidelities, murders, kidnappings, guns.etc. When these become normal just know the wicked is on the throne of the nation

There is a lot of conflict with the ordinary tax drivers and then the criminals too. To operate as a Yango driver is not safe even just from the usual taxi drivers who feel and think their business has been compromised. On the other hand criminals are taking advantage of the whole manner in which the yango is run by using stolen simcards that do not show the real culprits. It is high time the yango driver were protected and their lives safeguarded, these young men and women are really trying to make ends meet for their families. MHSRIP

Yango is a tech services ecosystem which provides multiple services, such as ride-hailing, delivery and e-grocery service, etc. Yango operates in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South America and available via a mobile app.

Yango is operated by Netherlands-based company Ridetech International B.V., formerly Yandex Taxi B.V, a subsidiary of Yandex N.V., the Netherlands-registered holding company for the Russian IT conglomerate Yandex LLC.[1][2]

Yango's beta app was launched on October 4, 2018, at Abidjan (Ivory Coast) in French.[3] On November 9, 2018, it was launched in Finland.[4] In addition to Helsinki, as of December 2020 Yango operates in Tampere and Turku.[5]

Yango was officially launched in Israel on December 10, 2018.[6] The app was installed by 100,000 users there in the first two weeks.[7] The firm introduced a controversial new business model in the local taxi sector that offered passengers the exact price of rides known in advance.[8] This fixed-price feature has drawn scrutiny from the Israeli Ministry of Transportation because it may violate Israeli law, which mandates that cab drivers can only charge the price indicated by the meter.[9]

In March 2020, Yango announced that it would offer the option of working directly with the company to independent licensed taxi drivers, after previously working with drivers only through taxi companies.[10]

In November 2021 street-hailing drivers of Cte d'Ivoire organized strikes against Yango blaming the company to be working with VTC drivers, which has been outside the scope of the current legislation in the country. This led to establishment of a working group on upgrading the transport law by the Ministry of Transport. Later the VTC concept had been introduced to the legislation, providing Yango and other ride-hailing services in the market with opportunity to obtain temporary licences.

Yango does not have its own cars or drivers, partnering instead with local transport companies and drivers. In countries where the company operates, its partners have opened dedicated driver centers.[20][21]

Yango asks for permission to access certain phone features in order to tailor the user experience. In November 2018, Finland's largest national newspaper Helsingin Sanomat recommended not to download the app due to security risks from data collection.[22] Following an investigation, the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority found that Yango's terms of service were essentially the same as Uber's.[citation needed] Soon after, Helsingin Sanomat published a follow-up article comparing permission rights requested by various taxi applications; it placed Yango second after Uber.[23]

The taxi activities are prohibited in Estonia and Latvia.[24] In August 2023 the Norwegian and Finnish data privacy authorities told Yango to stop processing data about their citizens in Russia, after the Russian government introduced a legal duty for the company to deliver personal information to the Russian Federal Security Service.[25]

Yango and GO are the leading ride-hailing platforms in Lusaka, Zambia. Some drivers operating on the platforms have shared numerous concerns about the two platforms which they say shows a lack of consideration for their welfare.

The company also stated that it reimburses drivers for discounts offered to riders and that it has introduced numerous safety features to protect drivers. These include a rider card with name, rating and number of trips, a display of alert zones and a non-penalty policy for drivers who do not wish to perform rides in these zones. TechCabal also reached out to GO but despite numerous follow-ups, did not receive any responses from the company by publication.

Ride-hailing drivers have in the past expressed their displeasure with Yango and GO. In March, drivers staged protests regarding several issues including price reductions for riders. Later in May, more protests took place with some drivers impounding cars of drivers to punish those who decided not to partake in the protests.

International tech company Yango has organized the maiden edition of the Yango Digital Mobility Awards (YDMA2023) to celebrate its cherished partners, partner drivers, users and allied service providers in a plush dinner event held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra on Friday, 22nd December 2023.

Some top drivers, partners, riders and key stakeholders were recognized and honored for their dedication and commitment that has pushed the growth and expansion of the business since its entry onto the Ghana market barely four years ago.

Despite the tight business environment, Mr. Ofonime highlighted that the operations of Yango continue to make a significant impact in the lives of its stakeholders, especially its partner drivers, 60 percent of whom are married and with family.

Another big winner for the night, Mr. Festus Nii Adjei Kraku, CEO of XChoded Business Solutions who was adjudged the Partner of the year, expressed gratitude to Yango for recognizing and rewarding his contribution to their operations in Ghana whilst acknowledging the support and training that have led to the growth of his business. He swept home 7 awards on the night.
