how to monitor the number of messages sent through network?

Hi Semih,

I would like to know how many messages could be reduced if I turn on LALP. Specifically, I want to the number of messages sent through network when the LALP is enabled and disabled.

Can I know the number of messages sent through network from the log? If not, which part of which file do I need to edit, could you please give me some hint?
