Hi,
  Is there any suggestions about how to choose the port number for nodes listed in "machine_config.cfg". I get the following:

"Failed to connect to compute-0-0 at port: 9801 Waiting for: 1000 millis."

Not really. I usually pick 1111, 2222, 3333, etc.

Hi,

Based on my experience, the ports are not released right after GPS finishes its job. I used to use several copies of machine_config file with different port numbers when I wanted to run many experiments called by a shell script.

Alternatively, I've found that sleeping for around 45 seconds (i.e., sleep 45) is sufficient for the ports to be released.
