The instructions are not helping me bind to my USB receiver.

The lights on the receiver are either blinking red or both the green and red are solid.

The lights on the transmitter are solid blue. It blinks red when I press the bind button.

I keep going over the manuals to both devices.

The operating system does show that the usb receiver is connected but the buttons do not work in test mode.

Maybe one of my components is broken?

What else can I try?

I ordered replacement controller and receiver. So far the second receiver cannot connect either. I should be able to test the new controller tonight.

I think what is going on is, the receiver uses ACCST  D16 v2. The controller expects ACCST D16 v1. Maybe I can flash the controller.

I modified the xsr and flashed the firmware on it to downgrade and that worked for me. I think the xsr ships with a newer firmware and is incompatible with the firmware running on the controller.

Did you purchase the FrSky STK Tool? Or is there a way to program it with an Arduino?

I remember soldering pins and I probably used an FTDI cable, I will get back to you

I definitely didn't buy a Frsky tool, I must have done it with an FTDI tool, similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-qUmdU1f-A

I was able to buy a used FrSky 2.4GHz Taranis Q X7 Access Transmitter ($100 + battery). It was able to bind successfully. Maybe the official documentation should be updated?

I agree it would be better to update the documentation. I suppose that they either bought the USB dongles with an older software version or downgraded them with a different transmitter than is on the BOM.

Hi all. Sorry about the confusion. You guys are correct, we had to downgrade the firmware on the usb receivers which we did it by flashing the older firmware from a taranis transmitter. I'll update the documentation.
