Hi All,

This group is slowly growing ... I would like to see the benefit of Stanford's classes reaching as many interested people as
possible ... please spread the word among your friends!

I would like this to evolve into some kind of a "study group" - please share your suggestions as to how we can take this forward ...

This is a very good initiative, Sir. Hope this group will help us to
learn more from Stanford's classes.

Sure Sir,

We will ensure maximum participation from MESCE.

It is great to see that mode of education is slowly shifting from a
physical class room.

My suggestion is to identify one faculty/student from each college and
let he/she spread the message.

Regards,

Sir,

I will ensure maximum participation from Amal Jyothi College of Engineering. But how can we ensure that all the registered participants will take this course seriously? So better to spread the information with its importance in our curriculum. Also if anybody knows the complete procedure for the completion of the course?

Yes - online education is the future!

Somebody will have to tell them that there is a *much* bigger world outside and that stuff like this is a great opportunity for their own professional development. Teachers are the best people to do this ... talk to them about the amazing research done at places like MIT and Stanford - talk to them about David Patterson, Don Knuth ... tell them how fortunate they will be to take part in a class taught by some of the top experts (it may be better to call some of them "legends"!) in the field .... do not force it on them as if it is some kind of "assignment" (there is too much of that meaningless stupidity already in our syllabus) ... just let them know how exciting it is and at least a few people who do not have their interest and enthusiasm ruined by a dozen years of compulsory torture called "schooling" will take it seriously.

So better to spread the information with its importance in our curriculum.

Some of my students had taken part in a few of the previous courses (AI/ML/DB) but were unable to complete because of the wonderful exam timing of  calicut university ... maybe they can enlighten us (I think they are part of this group ...)
