I really like listening to my Thumbprint Radio because it goes through all my stations and genres. However, when logging in here, I don't have the functionality to edit the station. I was hoping to add some songs onto Thumbprint Radio that I don't hear there or may not have heard on other stations.
You won't actually be able to add specific songs to your Thumbprint Radio manually - as you continue to thumb up tracks across your regular radio stations, those will also get added to your Thumbprint Radio rotation.
I have never been able to delete a song from any of my Playlists while listening to them on my iPhone. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place for a delete button but I'm doing it as I would do it if I were on my computer listening to a playlist.
Hi Adam, that does help a lot considering I couldn't find a way to delete a song in my playlist. However I have to say that once I had actually tried to delete a particular song, I found it extremely difficult and really not much help.
I found that when I tapped on edit I am faced with about 5 songs that are visible on my screen and I have to now scroll through hundreds of songs on my playlist to try to find the song I want to delete. Given how many songs I might want to delete it could actually take hours to find the songs. I don't think my aging eyesight is going like staring at list after list on my iPhone screen. I thought for a moment I had found a shortcut, I noticed at the top of screen showing the list was a magnifying glass and the caption "Find a song to add" at first glance I thought it was going to be Find a song to delete, wouldn't that be nice. It doesn't look like a lot of thought was ever put into the software design for this app.
Why can't you delete a song from your playlist. I have clicked the check mark from the collection off i have hit the plus sign and then the check mark and then off again. I have hit the 3 dots and there is no delete song option. I have a Samsung s10. I dont use a computer. You can't unlike the song unless it randomly plays.
To remove songs from your playlist, scroll down and press the circled 'x' to the left of the songs you would like to remove or swipe the track name from right to left. (Deleting songs from your custom playlists will not remove the original Thumb rating from your stations).
To edit Playlist, and delete songs, you have to go to the actual Playlist, hit edit, then scroll endlessly and needlessly to the song you want to remove. This is a ridiculously ignorant and inferior approach to editing your personal list-- especially for a premium subscriber.
Example; I'm listening to my multitude of favorite thumbs up-- a song plays that I don't like and wish to remove it. Then THERE SHOULD BE an icon right there, to simply do just that. I don't want to have to go to my Playlist, scroll until I hopefully find the song (because numbering order is stupidly removed when in edit mode.)
The Community Feature Request board is a place where registered community members can share what they would like to see on Pandora. It's a place where members can discuss, suggest, and vote on features and ideas, as well as see what the rest of the community thinks.
Alan Alda's "Clear+Vivid" was added to my Playlist and I DO NOT want it and cannot remove it! I am guessing Pandora gets paid to put things like this on playlists without caring whether they are welcome?
I have transfered numerous mp3 albums onto my iphone, but while all these appear in the iphone library on itunes, I can't see them on my iphone or I see them, but they are missing information (for instance: in the itunes iphone library I do see the artist and the title - on my phone, however, the artist is "no artist" and the title is "track 08". ) I went in and manually edited the fields under 'get info' but the results are unpredictable. Right now, I am focusing on one album and while 12 tracks out of 13 have accepted the edit and show the song title, # 8 shows track 8 AND despite numerous edits the artist name cannot be changed. I tried 'convert mp3 tag' several times with 'none', then setting them to version 2.3 and/or 2.4 - nothing seems to help. One album does not appear at all on the iphone, although, I can see it in the itunes library under iphone. I don't use itunes to organize my music, just for transfer to iphone. Any suggestions?
That may sound flippant, but I assume (suspect) that what you're doing is changing the file attributes (the song tags) in whichever programme you do use, but that of course is not making any changes to music you have already put on your iPhone. Do you have your iPhone set up with iTunes to Sync with iTunes or do you Manually Manage it? If you use Manually Manage, then you need to remove a song from your phone and then put it back once the changes are made.
When I, for example, notice an inaccuracy in one of the songs on my iPod, I make the necessary changes in iTunes and then connect my iPod to iTunes so that those changes are Synced with the iPod. And I do often have to make changes. I spot spelling errors in the Gracenote information that iTunes obtained for an album, or I want an album to be in a different genre. It happens all the time, but iTunes is a really easy method of both managing an iPod and introducing changes to the songs.
Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.
Sometimes I'll start scrolling through a playlist of my favorite songs and some will be missing! Sometimes this is because the artist has chosen to rename the song and re-upload it. Maybe they've made some touch-ups to the song mix, and that's why they're re-uploading their song. Or maybe the artist has taken their music down off of Spotify entirely. Whatever reason, this is frustrating for a fan of that song, who now has to check their page and try to figure out what happened to the music I like. I could spend hours listening to songs I don't recognize, trying to figure out if the missing one is disguised in there, but I'd rather be doing other things. And even if I do find it, I now have to try and add it to any playlists where I had the old song, and find the dud and remove it to clean up the list.
Now, I haven't uploaded music to Spotify, so I'm not sure what the options are when you upload, but if it's not easy to edit an existing song, switching out the album art, song title, details, or even the audio file, that could be why artists do swap out their music. If they don't have the opportunity to edit existing uploads, I'd like them to be able to do this.
If these options already exist and artists just don't use them, then maybe what would help could be an AI-assisted music-listening program which will check an artist's songs against other uploads of theirs. If it detects a strong enough correlation, it could give a notification to users who have the original song in their lists asking them to listen to the new one and decide whether to replace the original song with the new one in all playlists. (and an option nearby to re-listen to the original song would be nice, in case the listener has forgotten what the original sounded like)
We moved your post from the Ideas board to the relevant Help board, where it fits better. We'll be happy to shed some light on this.
Keep in mind that the content (artists, albums or songs) you don't see available on your end have a strict relation to licensing agreements. This depends on the artists or the right holders of the content who have it available in some regions. There's more info here. Also, every modification (uploading new versions and taking down others or leave both of them) is completely up to the artist or the right holder. We understand it'd be useful for the users getting a notification of these changes, but that would require a great amount of resources to check millions of users' libraries, which is not something we have the capacity to do at the moment.
Songs in a group's song database are keyed by the service item title. If I create a song service item titled 'Amazing Grace' and add the lyrics I now have a song in my group's song database titled 'Amazing Grace'. Next week if I want to sing Amazing Grace again I can
a) use Add Item > Reuse Items to duplicate last week's 'Amazing Grace' service item
b) add a new song service item and use the song service item title entry helper to select my groups version of 'Amazing Grace'
I can never "Add Item" -> "Song" -> and search under the song title. It never shows up under "My Songs." Then if I start a new service and look for the song under "Add Item -> Reuse the song is not there.
