dear friends, after having explored the rivers of Lithuania in 2019 (800km with sup between May and December 2019), government restrictions blocked the gathering I had organized in Lithuania in May 2020, for which I had already received about thirty registrations, for an international gathering that would have been the first in that country.
This year I dedicated myself to the Po, the longest and most fascinating river in Italy: it runs through the whole of northern Italy, from west to east, from the Alps to the sea, for over 600 km.
In July I studied it; in August I went down it, in sup, with all the luggage for nautical camping on board. An experience beyond my expectations: for the beauty of the river, for the meetings I had, for the realities I met, for the hospitality I received.
The next international event is scheduled for May-June-July 2022:
- 14-21 May 2022, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna: Po delta, 150km
- 11-18 June 2022, Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy: the plain, 210km
- 9-16 July 2022, Piedmont: white water, 180km
(dates are to be confirmed)

It will be the first international paddle event on the Po river.
I am working hard on it, I am forming the work team, I am looking for reference persons abroad who can form and follow paddling groups in their own country.
The meeting is open to all paddle boats: kayak, canoe, sup; and swimmers too :)
It will also be a journey into the culture of a river rich in history, and a gastronomic journey: common dinners will be particularly taken care of to make regional foods known.
Participation for the 2020 edition will be limited to 50 people for each meeting.

Liebe Freunde, nachdem ich 2019 die Flüsse Litauens erkundet hatte (800 km mit sup zwischen Mai und Dezember 2019), blockierten staatliche Beschränkungen das Treffen, das ich im Mai 2020 in Litauen organisiert hatte und für das ich bereits etwa dreißig Anmeldungen erhalten hatte, für ein internationales Treffen, das wäre der erste in diesem Land gewesen.
Dieses Jahr habe ich mich dem Po gewidmet, dem längsten und faszinierendsten Fluss Italiens: Er durchzieht ganz Norditalien, von West nach Ost, von den Alpen bis zum Meer, auf über 600 km.
Im Juli habe ich es studiert; im August bin ich mit sup mit all dem gepäck fürs nautische camping an bord runtergefahren. Eine Erfahrung, die meine Erwartungen übertroffen hat: für die Schönheit des Flusses, für die Treffen, die ich hatte, für die Realitäten, die ich traf, für die Gastfreundschaft, die ich erhielt.
Die nächste internationale Veranstaltung ist für Mai-Juni-Juli 2022 geplant:

Es wird das erste internationale Paddel-Event auf dem Po sein.
Ich arbeite hart daran, ich bilde das Arbeitsteam, ich suche Kontakte im Ausland, die Paddelgruppen im eigenen Land bilden und begleiten können.
Das Treffen steht allen Paddelfahrzeugen offen: Kajak, Kanu, Sup; und Schwimmer auch :)
Es wird auch eine Reise in die Kultur eines geschichtsträchtigen Flusses und eine gastronomische Reise: Auf gemeinsame Abendessen wird besonders geachtet, um regionale Speisen bekannt zu machen.
Die Teilnahme an der Ausgabe 2020 ist auf 50 Personen pro Woche begrenzt.
