Elba Island, 223 sq km, Tuscany, Italy, 1h by ship.
One of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean, for its 150km of coastline with beaches and cliffs; for the hundreds of km of dirt roads for mtb and mountain paths up to 1000 meters above sea level; for its history, the ancient mines, the fortifications, the exile of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1814.
I come here in every season of the year, I've been around it dozens of times in a kayak and sup, and I've covered most of its trails.
I found on the island a reception structure with dormitories, indoor and outdoor common areas, ample parking in the shade.
There is also a kitchen with cooks offering simple and healthy food. Possibility of self-cooking.
The center only accepts groups.
Prices per person: about 20 euros for room only, about 40 euros for half board.

Eine der schönsten Inseln des Mittelmeers, für ihre 150 km lange Küste mit Stränden und Klippen; für die Hunderte von Kilometern unbefestigter Straßen für Mountainbikes und Bergpfade bis zu 1000 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel; für ihre Geschichte, die alten Minen, die Befestigungsanlagen, das Exil von Napoleon Bonaparte im Jahr 1814.
Ich komme zu jeder Jahreszeit hierher, bin dutzende Male mit dem Kajak oder sup herumgefahren und habe die meisten seiner Wege zurückgelegt.
Ich fand auf der Insel eine Empfangsstruktur mit Schlafsälen, Gemeinschaftsbereichen im Innen- und Außenbereich, ausreichend Parkplätze im Schatten.
Es gibt auch eine Küche mit Köchen, die einfache und gesunde Speisen anbieten. Möglichkeit zum Selbstkochen.
Das Zentrum akzeptiert nur Gruppen.
Preise pro Person: ca. 20 Euro nur Übernachtung, ca. 40 Euro Halbpension.

Hi Maurizio, I am planning to be in Elba island from 5th to 15th May. You know that sup navigation at sea is very dependent on sea and wind conditions, but the island of Elba is large enough to still find sheltered bays or coasts. And beautiful everywhere. So the program could be a navigation along the coast for a few hours every day, with recovery by car and a fixed base camp in the lodging center I mentioned.

I have received many private requests to propose a period to meet on the island. A period for daily excursions in sup along the coast of the island, choosing them according to the conditions of the sea and the wind. But also for some hike along the most spectacular paths in the Mediterranean.
I therefore propose the period from Saturday 13 to Monday 22 May 2023. Everyone can arrive and leave on the day they wish. I will be on the island all that time.

I recommend to bring:
- inflatable board with paddle, leash, wetsuit
- hiking shoes and small backpack
Daily costs:
- 50 euros for full board in a comfortable and shady dormitory
- 70 euros for guide and transport on the island
