Are you sure about the dates between the alleged shooting and the surgery for the wound. I can not understand how someone could be shot with a .40 caliber weapon and wait 30 days for treatment. The nature of the injury you reported indicated severe injury including damage to the uretha. How did he urniate without infection? Lack of immediate medical attention with severity of the wound looks like it would have killed him to wait for treatment for a full month.
Was there any indication of gun powder injury? Did the injury appear fresh or were their scabs formed?
The direction of the wound appears to be related to a self inflicted wound by a right handed shooter. Is the drug dealer right handed?
Based on what I have read I think he or someone else shot him in the ass and didn't aim very well. He didn't understand devastaing impact of a P+ hollow point load upon impact. The hydrostatic shock is devastating as the bullet disintegrates upon impact. If he was hit in the field I don't understand how he would continue running and them jump in a van and land on that wounded ass.
We still need more information but for now I think the wound was self inflicted with collusion of others to assure he would get timely medical treatment. The wound from the only photograph I have seen appeared fresh to me but that is without the benfit of closer examination.
There has to be a big payday for a lot of people if he gets his $5million reward for shooting himself in the ass.
