STAND event on Wednesday!

Hi everyone,

I wanted to remind you all that our first big event of the year is
this Wednesday, October 1. We will be doing a big tabling event on
Lowery Mall from 10am to 3pm. We will be getting signatures and
letters written for STAND's Ask the Candidates campaign and will have
materials on Burma, Congo, and Darfur to educate students. We will
also be doing a Faces of Action campaign, in which students get their
picture taken holding up a message they have written about taking
action against genocide, and then signing them up for genocide action
alerts. We will also be selling t-shirts and taking donations for
civilian protection.

If you can help us table at any time from 10 to 3, please stop by - we
would love to see you! If you have a chance, please respond to this
email with the time you can work. Wear your STAND shirt if you have
one! I'll send out a reminder email later to people who have already
signed up to help.

Also, our next general meeting is this Thursday the 2 at 7pm at
Strickland 210. We'll try to get you out in time for the VP debate:)
