to STAND Mizzou: A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition
Hello STAND-ers,
Sorry about all the emails from the last few days, but I wanted to let
all of you know about an event of interest happening today, October
15. It is a panel discussion on victims of rape from the Rwandan
genocide. Rape is used as a weapon of war and genocide in many
conflicts today, including Darfur, Congo, and Burma. I'm sure it will
be an informative and important event! Here is the information:
Panel Discussion on Victims of Rape
as part of the Genocide in Rwanda
Wed. October 15th, Black Culture Center, Small Room, 12:00-1:30pm
Lunch will be provided.
Join us to hear the experiences of Dr. Raeona Nichols and Dr. Deb
Doxsee in their work with survivors of rape
in Rwanda and the effects of these war crimes on family and community.
Panel discussion will follow.
Peace,
Kelsey Birza
