[First Project] A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett

I endeavor to undertake A Little Princess (1905) by Frances Hodgson Burnett as my first SE production, if permissible.

I am at this point acquainted with the SEMoS—I have a couple of minor PRs there. Additionally, there appears to be a graveyard of previous attempts on this work, so I have sifted through the advice dispersed in those threads, hoping to ward off the curse.

The original printing of this book has wonderful illustrations, and although SE discards these in production, there is one that I think would make a charming bespoke cover.
