Repo: https://github.com/homestar92/jane-c-loudon_the-mummy-a-tale-of-the-twenty-second-century
Scans: https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/102985942 (it's also on archive.org, but these scans are cleaner. I can use archive.org instead if we prefer)
Transcription: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/56426 (really just a starting point since the first and second editions vary significantly)

Spotted this on the wanted list and it seems like an interesting book. The wanted list specifies that we want to update the text to the second edition. I'm confident that I'm up to this task and I've already started digging into the differences. Looks like significant variations in the text for the first fourth of the book or so, and then after that the changes are smaller in scope. Should be doable, but I'll need to get a "second edition" transcript compiled before I can start the rest of the process in earnest.

OK, good luck! Vince will manage with Emma reviewing.

I did notice one thing with the scans:
Page 68 of Volume III is missing in every copy I've found of the 1828 second edition scans. My plan is to fill in that missing text with the first-edition text. Do I need to also include a scan of the first edition in my sources, since I'll be using it to fill in this gap?

Sure, and make a note of that in the production notes

I have added the cover from the May 1924 issue of Weird Tales Magazine to the art gallery and would like to use it for this production:

Actual cover crop would be something like this:

I don’t see it in the database, and I think it will be fine, but Alex will have to confirm that it is “fine art” style.

This has an epigraph on the title page. Do we reproduce that in the book somewhere? Does it get its own xhtml file before the half-titlepage?

I see it now. Is there something that keeps new uploads from being generally viewable? Status was “all” on the search.

It should have been listed as unverified on the artworks index page

Weird. For whatever reason, it didn’t appear at all until after you assigned it.
