[Next project] Under Fire, by Henri Barbusse

For my next project I want to take a little break from Saltus to work on Under Fire; The Story of a Squad by Henri Barbusse, originally published under the title La Feu and translated by Fitzwater Wray.

This is one of the older transcriptions on PG, and as such is lacking italics and possibly other styling. I'll make sure to check carefully against the scans. Furthermore, there are footnotes to be converted to endnotes, but other than that this seems to be a fairly straightforward production.

As it's a novel about a French squad in WW I, I would like to suggest La Mitrailleuse by C. R. W. Nevinson for the cover. 

Finally, this book won the Prix Goncourt, but as far as I could see there's no collection for that yet. Should one be created?

We don't have a collection for Prix Goncourt because most of the entries
don't have English translations.

I just discovered that most, if not all, diacritics are missing from the transcription too, so this may take a while.

This book has a few footnotes that refer back to earlier footnotes. Converted to endnotes, they are numbered as follows.:

• Endnote 5.: "See p. 34 ante; [chapter 5, note 3] another reference to the famous phrase."
  Text in brackets added by PG transcriber. it's this footnote, which refers refers back to this footnote. (scans linked)
  My thought was to remove the transcriber's note, replace "See p. 34 ante;" with "See endnote 3" in an editorial commit, and add a link to endnote 3 (which it refers to). Is this the correct approach?
• Endnote 19: "See p. 117."
  This one is a little odd. It refers to p. 122 in the page scans, which appears to be correct given the context (see p. 122 here), but the transcription changes it to p. 117 (scans of p. 117 here), the footnote of which refers to something else. Assuming the scans are correct, should I change this to "See endnote 11" and link to this endnote in an editorial commit?

Yes to both; I usually just say “See note X,” but I don’t think the wording matters all that much.
