I'm working on a collection of shorts by Daphne du Maurier. The transcription process is going well, with the exception of "And Now to God the Father". I found scans, but they have a bit of water damage or something that obscures a few paragraphs. There's a good chance that there's a better quality scan at the British Online Archives, but I don't have access to that, nor can I get access (at least I can't figure out how). Does anyone here have access?

Along the same lines, I've started looking ahead to stories published in 1930. I've found scans for all of them except for "Adieu Sagresse", which was published in the October 1930 edition of Cassell's Magazine. I've tried the usual sites, with no luck. I thought I'd mention that here in case someone on here is better at tracking these things down than me.

Unfortunately, the British Online Archives scans also have water damage. It looks like the exact same scan that is on IA.

No luck on “Adieu Sagesse” (no ‘r’) for me either.

Ah, pity. That was always a possibility. Thanks for checking!

Just to file a "null" report - I checked the archives I have access to, alas, without success.

Thanks for checking David. The story was reprinted in Early Stories (1954) and there is exactly one library copy in all of Sweden. Alex, from a PD standpoint is it ok to copy the obscured paragraphs from the reprint?

Yes, if the reprint has the original copyright date on there somewhere
