Is it possible to build and lint a project (starting from se create-draft) but ignore the SE rules entirely? I know that --skip-lint-ignore exists, but that flag seems to be more about skipping individual rules than "I'm doing something totally custom, just make an EPUB and be quiet about it."
Using SE's toolset to just make a book that is valid and passes epubcheck seems like something which should be doable - if you are so inclined.
(If this all sounds a bit weird, it comes out of my first post from way back when. The thoughts that pop into your head on a Friday night...)

`se lint` is a linter for SE style, so it wouldn't make sense for it to
work on a non-SE book. You can use `se create-draft --white-label` to
create an epub without SE branding, and then `se build` should be able
to build it (and --check it if necessary) as usual.
