I'm working on finishing touches on Road to Oz and then would like to start working on Blind Mice by C. Kay Scott.

It's listed as Patron Selection on the Wanted Books page.

Sure. Looks like there are thematic breaks in the form of large spaces
between paragraphs. Make sure to use <hr/> for those. Since there is a
dedication you will have to add a half title page. Please send a link to
your repo once you get started!

OK, Weijia will manage this with Vince reviewing.

Ok, noted.

I've reached the stage of building the ToC. I'm getting an error that the tools can't find the title in halftitlepage.xhtml

I copied the half-title html straight from SEMoS and see a title element sitting right where it should in the <head> section. Can anyone else spot the mistake I made?

attached is the full xhtml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:epub="http://www.idpf.org/2007/ops" epub:prefix="z3998: http://www.daisy.org/z3998/2012/vocab/structure/, se: https://standardebooks.org/vocab/1.0" xml:lang="en-US">
  <head>
    <title>Blind Mice</title>
    <link href="../css/core.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"/>
    <link href="../css/local.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"/>
  </head>
  <body epub:type="frontmatter">
    <section id="halftitlepage" epub:type="halftitlepage">
      <h2>Blind Mice</h2>
    </section>
  </body>
</html>

Nevermind, I mixed up <title> as in file title and title as in the book title I had forgotten to mark the epub:type on the h2

I am beginning my proofread but did get some reading in during the manual semantics to get a proposed cover together

Proposing using Camille Corot's The Letter as the cover. The person in the image is not quite contemporary to the characters but paintings by Corot are mentioned in the story in a few chapters and letters and telegrams provide some of the big plot points. Since Corot is called out in scenes talking about visits to art museums, I searched Corot specifically for the cover.

The painting is listed Open Access by the Met: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/435976

Unfortunately, that painting is already in use by Letters of Two Brides. There are other paintings by Corot available in the artwork database.

And having double-checked the artwork database this time, I went away from Corot because I didn't find another as thematically attached.

I'm proposing "At the Milliner's" by Edgar Degas. This one stuck out to me because the relationship and interactions between Mrs. Merwent and Lucy are the heart of the story and the women in the picture feel like they're having one of the conversations that come up in the book.

High Res cover is from The Met Museum, marked as open access: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/437993

Looks good! I submitted it to the art database.

This is now ready for review.

OK, I’ll get to it in the next few days.

There are several chapters whose formatting is messed up, e.g. ch. 5, 22, 26, 29, 30. This is almost always a result of having text outside of an HTML element, e.g. before the <p> on a line, after the </p>, etc.

Please take care of those, and then I’ll start on the review. Thanks!

I didn't find any others on my look through and those are fixed. Looked like using emerge for a diff check then exiting early left the stuff it used to mark the lines to look at. Cleared it out and ran se clean. Looks good now.

Good work, Alexander, I’ve opened a Review issue on GitHub with several things to take care of.

I had a laugh at the last one that I may have gone a little too "commit early, commit often" on this one.

I put a comment on the github issue, but not sure how quick those go out. But I finished work on the issues mentioned.

Looks good Alexander, thanks! I've gone ahead and released it.

Careful with the long description - you have to run `se typogrify` to
typogrify it, and make sure you correctly any SE URLs you use. Lint
caught several errors there.
