Catherine Louisa Pirkis was a Victorian author most famous for “Loveday Brooke, Lady Detective”. I’ve put together a spreadsheet of what I think after a bit of searching is her short fiction corpus (ignoring everything that spans multiple volumes) at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VIHtWVCBqD985Z2jaWdUJd8UrRHKHvRRf7AuD3ztkWA/. Available in transcription is her first novella “Disappeared from Her Home” (https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/65012) and the Loveday Brooke collection (https://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks13/1302211h.html)

From my point of view we’ve got two options. Either we could do a complete (as understood) Short Fiction compilation, perhaps arranging the Loveday Brooke stories into a subvolume. Alternatively we could do Loveday Brooke as a standalone book, then pull the other six shorts into their own compilation. I think if it was me that I’d go for the latter, but 100% open to argument on this.

I think a themed omnibus, and then a separate short fiction omnibus,
make sense here.

If possible you should include *everything* in this spreadsheet, so in
the future we can be sure that any work we look up has been considered
for this sheet (and rejected for an omnibus because of length or whatever)

Thanks, added her novels to the SE copy. So I’ll make a start on The Experiences of Loveday Brooke, Lady Detective in a new thread.
